SOME POORLY ORGANIZED THOUGHTS, IN OLD SCHOOL HOLLYWOOD REPORTER FORM
Item! Chris McNaughton is as good as I have been talking him up to be. I both fear and respect the finest German basketball player in college basketball!
Item! HC was harmed in the final by a phantom charging call, but more importantly by poor shot selection from otherwise stellar G Kevin Hamilton with a chance to tie near the end.
Item! HC will NOT make the NCAA, a grave injustice to a team that would be an easy upset pick regardless of what seed they were! I ask you this: if a team is a threat to reach the Sweet 16 as a high seed, shouldn't that be considered as a part of their resume? Could Indiana reach the Sweet 16? Certainly not! Could HC? Certainly!
Item! Talking and writing heads will talk and write about how the Patriot League's reputation in the tournament harms HC's attempt to enter as an at large. But shouldn't HC's reputation as a cinderella candidate in the tournament trump that?
